Lost City Of Z

After seeing this movie, I dug into the real story of Percy Fawcett and discovered that the silver screen portrayal of this “great explorer” is just some polished poop.

Director and writer James Gray’s storytelling is so full of misinterpretation and lies that it consumed my entire interest in this film.

The Lost City of Z is promoted as a thrilling adventure tale, failing to explain that all this movie really does is disguise and glorify a boldfaced racist as one of the most liberal and outstanding explorers of all time.

The culture of spreading false information has stretched further than ‘fake news’, making its way into The Lost City of Z.

To close, this “true-life drama” wasn't very true at all and I'm extremely disappointed that this exposition of Percy Fawcett made it past the New Yorker article it began as.

Stars: Charlie Hunnam, Robert Pattinson, Sienna Miller, Tom Holland
